PAUL GANDY
Paul serves Liberty Baptist Church as aN ASSOCIATE Pastor
Paul came to Christ by God’s grace at an early age through the persistent preaching of the gospel by his parents and church. Since then, he has watched the Lord slowly sanctify and change his life through God’s Word and the church, and he is grateful to reflect back on the grace and mercy the Lord has shown him as the gospel has grown sweeter over time. During college, Paul began to develop a desire to serve the church in some capacity and began to pray specifically about pastoring. Throughout his seminary training and his time as a member of Liberty Baptist, the Lord has confirmed this desire and affirmed Paul in his desire to pursue pastoral ministry. As a pastor, Paul aspires to fulfill Peter’s command to shepherd the flock well, helping the church to love God and his Word, love the church, kill sin, and rejoice in the gospel.
Paul joined LBC in September 2017, began working as the Director of Worship in August 2019, and became a Staff Pastor in July 2022. He serves the church by leading worship, preaching as he’s able, and equipping members in matters of worship. Beyond these specific responsibilities, he pastors through general shepherding and care of LBC’s members. Paul has loved watching the church grow in its love of the Sunday gathering and prays regularly that we would be able to return to one service to edify one another at the same time as we worship together as one body.
Outside of his ministry in the church, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, Alyssa, and their two boys—Ezekiel and Titus. He received his Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2020 and spends his days working for the church. In his free time, he loves backpacking, hiking, sitting around a fire with friends, or generally anything outdoors!
