Welcome List for Our Missionary Family

(Note - We have removed names from this post to protect this family’s online footprint, but members should know who this family is. As always, please do not post any social media content of this family online.)

We have the joy of getting to serve one of our Missionary families as they come stateside for the fall! The family will arrive on September 1st and stay through December!

Here are some ways you can consider serving them:

  1. They would be assisted by having a second car.

    - If you have an extra car you are willing to let them borrow from September 1- December 24, please reach out to Jessica and Jacob Ward or Ellen Osborne.

  2. We would love to give them a little welcome basket that would supply some of their most immediate needs when they arrive.

    - You can find the registry for the welcome basket here:

  3. We would also like to provide them with 3 or 4 freezer meals that they can use as they get settled. We need:

    - 1 breakfast option and
    - 2 or more lunch/ dinner options.
    - Please contact Jessica Ward or Ellen Osborne if you can provide any of these freezer meal.

  4. Finally, we will have a box in the foyer through the month of August for cards of encouragement.

    - Please take time to write a note for the Lisle's by August 30th! These notes will be in the basket given to them when they arrive on Sep 1st.

Collegiate Impact and Outreach Opportunity

Collegiate Impact (CI) has invited LBC members to join a 21-day prayer commitment for CI, area campuses, staff, and students. CI is a local organization that brings the hope and peace of Jesus Christ to KC-area college students through a network of on-campus ministries and local church partnerships. LBC is grateful for the ways members have supported CI events and on-campus Bible studies in the past.

In addition to prayer, CI is collecting individually wrapped food and drink items for staff to use in campus outreach throughout the school year. A donation box will be available for drop-offs in the lobby from August 2 to August 30.

Click the link below for daily prayer points and a list of suggested food and drink items. Questions? Reach out to Joey Moralez.
