Collegiate Impact and Outreach Opportunity
Collegiate Impact (CI) has invited LBC members to join a 21-day prayer commitment for CI, area campuses, staff, and students. CI is a local organization that brings the hope and peace of Jesus Christ to KC-area college students through a network of on-campus ministries and local church partnerships. LBC is grateful for the ways members have supported CI events and on-campus Bible studies in the past.
In addition to prayer, CI is collecting individually wrapped food and drink items for staff to use in campus outreach throughout the school year. A donation box will be available for drop-offs in the lobby from August 2 to August 30.

The Bounty Table
This Sunday, we will have a table set up outside after service, so that we can share the bountiful harvests from our gardens with each other. Please bring any extra produce you could share with others who would be blessed by the abundance. You do not need to bring any produce to be able to take some home for your family. We would love to see the table completely empty by the end of the day. If you have any questions, please reach out to Linda Denny.
Recommending Elders and Deacons
At our June members’ meeting last Sunday, the elders announced plans to install additional lay elders and deacons to help lead and serve the church. As the elders prayerfully consider men to nominate to the church, they have asked members to also be in prayer for this process and to share with them recommendations.

Practical Discipleship: Technology and Discipleship | Equipping Room A
Technology, including electronic and traditional, impacts every aspect of our lives. We use it every day, but Christians often struggle with how to think about it Biblically. Technology can be used for great good (such as increasing food production or spreading the gospel via YouTube) or for great harm (such as developing deadly weapons or fostering enslavement to social media). This class will provide members of Liberty Baptist Church with Biblical principles for understanding and responding to technology in a God-honoring way.
Practical Discipleship: History of Scripture | Fellowship Hall
Scripture is the most important book in every Christian’s life, but many Christians feel unequipped in their understanding of how we got the Bible. We know that God wrote it and that we should study it, but we may not know much about its history or features. How should a Christian respond when confronted with different translations that seem drastically different? Or how should a college student defend his belief in inspiration when confronted with the claim that we don’t really know what books should be included in the Bible? This class will help members of Liberty Baptist Church connect the history of Scripture to their daily faith and obedience to God.
