A Month Serving

July is an A month! If you are scheduled to serve during A months, remember to connect with your team to coordinate your serving responsibilities. Thank you for serving our church family!

Recommending Elders and Deacons

At our June members’ meeting last Sunday, the elders announced plans to install additional lay elders and deacons to help lead and serve the church. As the elders prayerfully consider men to nominate to the church, they have asked members to also be in prayer for this process and to share with them recommendations.

To learn more about pastoral and diaconal ministry at Liberty Baptist Church, including the qualifications for these offices and the formal process for the appointment and installation of new elders and deacons, please refer to the resource provided below.

To recommend brothers in the church for this role, you can connect with the pastors or use the form below.

New Sermon Schedule Webpage

We encourage members to read and meditate on the upcoming sermon passage ahead of Sunday. Check out our new sermon schedule webpage for a quarterly view of the preaching schedule! You can navigate to this page directly in the Resources tab found on the website.

Updated Membership Directories in Church Office

Our church membership directory has been updated according to the most recent members’ meeting. If you would like an updated printed copy, you can pick one up in the church office.

Care for Our Homebound and Widowed Members

Recently, Kyle Faucher, who is our Deacon who oversees our Homebound and Widow Ministry, sent an email to the church seeking to formally begin this ministry and encourage members to sign up and participate. One of the most important needs of our church right now is that our homebound and widowed members need care, love, prayer, and discipleship. Would you consider signing up to serve? For more information and how to sign up, you can read the email below. If you have questions, you can reach out to Kyle Faucher.

Exploring Church Membership Weekender on July 10 - 12

In God’s infinite wisdom and kindness, he has not left Christians to simply figure out “church” on their own, but instead, has given us instruction through his Word. Join the pastors as they consider what Scripture has to say about the structure of the church, the importance of church membership, and how all of this serves to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you know someone who would like to participate, please direct them to our website with the link below. This class does not obligate anyone to join, but it does serve as the first step in pursuing membership at LBC. Members are also welcome to join, meet prospective members, and review what the Bible has to say about God’s design for the local church! To see the class schedule and register, please click below!

Women’s Summer Events

Ladies, check out below for opportunities of fellowship during the summer months! If you have any questions, please reach out to Amy Gilmore.

  • July 24: Simple Summer Book Study | 7:00-9:00pm
We know the summer can be busy, so we've made a plan to read, learn, and fellowship together that won't stretch anybody's calendar. We will be reading Andrea Burke's book "A Bit of Earth: A Year in the Garden with God." You have all of June and July to read the book at your own pace, and then we will gather one evening (July 24) at 7:00PM to discuss the book and to fellowship. Please sign up for this event here, so we know how many will be participating: https://form.jotform.com/261444487503055

Equipping Classes

For more details, please view more information at the Equipping Classes page.

  • Practical Discipleship: Counseling One Another | Fellowship Hall

The message of the Gospel is that while we were still sinners, Christ died for the ungodly (Romans 5:6). In our helpless state, God saved us and made us a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). But even after our salvation, the struggle against indwelling sin and the reality of living in a fallen world means we still find ourselves in need of change, hope, and help. Amazingly, God calls ordinary believers to be redemptive instruments in His hands! This class will equip members of Liberty Baptist Church with the biblical knowledge, practical tools, and Gospel-centered hope to provide help to those in need.

  • Liberty Students (6th-12th Grade): Overview of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John | Liberty Students Room

We continue our study of the New Testament. As we trace God’s plan of redemption, students will be led through portions of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John, taught to ask questions and make observations of the text, and guided in learning how God’s Word applies to their lives. Let’s pray for our students as they continue to learn how to study Scripture!
