Lottie Moon Christmas Offering Goal

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, which funds thousands of Southern Baptist missionaries through the International Mission Board (IMB), will be collected throughout the season of Advent (now through December 31). Our goal this year is to give $30,000! If you are looking for ways to contribute to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, consider the Lottie Moon Bake Sale and Chili Cookoff. Remember that you can give your donations online. Just be sure to designate the funds to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

  • Lottie Moon Bake Sale
From December 7th - 21st, the RAs and GAs invite you to come get a tasty treat in the book room before or after service. Donations of any amount are accepted, and there will be a QR code to donate online.

  • Lottie Moon Chili Cookoff December 17th
Join us on December 17th at 6pm for our annual chili-cook off! Please consider entering your chili in the contest. If you choose not to participate, we kindly ask that you bring a main dish (soup/sandwiches), a side, and/or dessert. Please sign up on the Google spreadsheet. Please arrive a few minutes early to drop off food in the Liberty Students Room. As always, you will be the judges! You can sample several chilis, and any donation you give will grant you three votes. We’ll conclude our time of fellowship with a time of prayer and singing of Christmas hymns.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Join us at 5:30pm on December 24th to celebrate Jesus’ coming to earth to rescue us! This will be a family-oriented service with an early start time so that families can enjoy their Christmas traditions together with the remainder of the evening. We’ll sing Christmas carols, open God’s Word together, and end by worshipping Jesus with singing by candlelight.

Equipping Classes

Please consider joining us in one of these classes as we study God’s Word together:

  • Practical Discipleship: Missions and Evangelism | Equipping Room A
Many Christians today consider the work of missions and evangelism only for those who are particularly called or gifted. Even as far back as the Garden of Eden though, God's plan has always been to fill the earth with the knowledge of his glory - how? - through his people. This is the mission that Jesus entrusted to his followers after his resurrection. This is the mission of every local church and of every Christian today, to engage in the Spirit-empowered task of making disciples and planting churches among all the peoples of the earth! Join us as we consider together how we as a church are to serve as witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

  • Biblical Studies: The Book of Daniel | Fellowship Hall
The prophet Daniel and his friends lived as exiles under pressure to abandon their faith. Like Daniel's original audience, we are exiles called to trust that our sovereign God reigns supreme. Over 12 weeks, we will study Daniel's accounts of faithfulness in a pagan culture and his startling visions. As we do this, we will see how God’s unrivaled power will, in the end, triumph over wickedness and establish his eternal kingdom.

  • Liberty Students (6th-12th Grade): Overview of Kings, Micah, Jeremiah, & Chronicles | Liberty Students Room
We continue our study of the Old Testament. As we trace God’s plan of redemption, students will be led through portions of Kings, Micah, Jeremiah, and Chronicles, taught to ask questions and make observations of the text, and guided in learning how God’s Word applies to their lives. Let’s pray for our students as they continue to learn how to study Scripture!

December Senior Potluck

As we anticipate celebrating God coming to earth to dwell among us--Jesus' birth--we look forward to sharing special fellowship on Monday, December 8, at noon in the Fellowship Hall! Annette Tracy has graciously offered to provide the baked ham for the meal. Please invite friends and loved ones to join us in this special time of rejoicing over Jesus' birth! Bring all your favorite sides and desserts to share. We look forward to seeing you there.
